Please take this short spiritual walk with me; )
Last week God said to me, “ Picture a sunny day, beautiful stream flowing fresh clean water, with tree’s, grass on each side, and your thirsty! At what part of this fresh water stream I have given you, would you like to drink from?” I replied “ I would like to drink from the source” God then says “Well STOP DRINKING FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE STREAM, and COME DRINK DIRECTLY FROM THE SOURCE, I AM, the SOURCE and your 2 Miles down the stream. Satan is near the stream a mile closer to the SOURCE than you! COME CLOSER!”
I immediately began thinking of all the things God was saying to me. The first thing I thought was, as water travels further from it’s source it becomes more and more impure! God is asking me to come in contact directly with him. Not to seek an Usher, a Rabbi, TD Jakes, Joel Osteen, Daddy, Momma, Deacon or a Pastor to guide me to my intimate place in God. Me being me, I began searching for the source of my current homes water supplier. I went to EBMUD.com and searched the “Latest Water Supply Update” and learned that Ninety percent of EBMUD’s water supply comes from the Mokelumne River watershed in the Sierra Nevada. Spiritually, our water comes from GOD the Father through his son Jesus, inside the quenching of his holy word.
This then led me to the “EBMUD, 2011 Annual Water Quality Report” in which I learned that our Drinking water including bottled water, may reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. The sources of drinking water (both tap water and bottled water) include rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and wells. As water travels over the surface of the land or through the ground, it dissolves naturally-occurring minerals and, in some cases, radioactive material, and can pick up substances resulting from the presence of animals or from human activity. Contaminants that may be present in source water include:
Microbial contaminants, such as viruses, bacteria and protozoa, such as Cryptosporidium, that may come from sewage treatment plants, septic systems, agricultural livestock operations and wildlife.
Inorganic contaminants, such as salts and metals, that can be naturally-occurring or result from urban storm water runoff, industrial or domestic wastewater discharges, oil and gas production, mining or farming.
Synthetic organic contaminants, such as pesticides and herbicides that may come from a variety of sources, including agriculture, urban storm water and residential uses.
Volatile organic chemical contaminants from industrial processes and petroleum production, and from gas stations, urban storm water runoff, agricultural application and septic systems.
Radioactive contaminants that can be naturally occurring or be the result of oil and gas production and mining activities.
Cryptosporidium is a microbial contaminant found in surface water throughout the United States. Although filtration is highly effective in removing Cryptosporidium, the most commonly used filtration methods cannot guarantee 100 percent removal.
I began to think of some faithless ways in which I may “wander or stray” away from my confidence within my God Source. There are times when I believe what Satan says, There are times when I believe my Music Ministry is not powerful or effective enough, or just have the feeling of being inadequate, and just overwhelmed with life’s priorities, etc. God continued reminding me that as his life water travels down into our souls we must remember to stay so close to the source(God) so that Satan cannot contaminate or steal the soul food he gives.
In that moment God interjected and says “Your music ministry may not ever touch your immediate family, your music ministry may never touch anyone in a 100 Mile radius of where you live”, As God’s voice grew increasingly strong within me, he continued ministering to my soul by painting this mental picture and says “ There is a child in Africa right NOW, that is sitting on a curb downtown in a small village, across the street from an Internet Connection Station (Where you pay for internet time on their computers). He is sitting there scratching his head, dirty, no home, hungry without food to eat, no family, not even enough energy to beg, he is losing all hope. And another young African boy inside the Internet Connection Station across the street, has gone to your website, he has turned the computers speakers towards the street, and begins using his last minutes online to loudly play your music. The young hopeless boy hears your passion over the music, He hears your conviction, and he feels your anointing. He then quickly gets up smiling and runs across the dirt road street, to get a better listen, other children in the area have now huddled around the computer listening, and dancing to your sound! Son, as your song says “I AM” truly believe that “YOU ARE” and let NOT satans Cryptosporidium or other spiritual contaminants infect your Mind, Body or your Soul, you are free indeed, STAY CONNECTED TO YOUR SOURCE!!!
