Born into Sin…does this mean NO Hope, No Eternal life Chance?
As my eyes opened from child to man and still continue to open: ) YES…I was born into manipulation, lies, deceit, a flesh, hate, the world, etc., but as David stated in verse 6 below that GOD DESIRED FAITHFULNESS EVEN IN THE WOMB! Which means this that Christ is also born into us, so therefore we have HOPE!!!
This Christ Walk is a life walk! Not for a time, but for a Lifetime!
Psalm 51:5-6
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom in that secret place.
Hebrews 12:9 “Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?”
Here, God is referred to as the “Father of spirits.” While we inherit our physical attributes from our physical parents, our inner person, our spirit, we get from God. Our spirit is created ‘in His image.” If we are born totally depraved, then we are depraved in body and spirit. If that is the case, then we inherit our sinful, depraved spirits from God! But in God there is no evil, and therefore none to pass on to us.
2 Timothy 3:13 “But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” If we were born totally depraved, then we could not get worse.
Luke 8:15 “…these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.” If total depravity is true, then there is no such thing as “good and honest” hearts.
One final point. God defines sin for us. It is not something inherited, nor does He define it as something we are born with. Lord, what is sin? God answers: 1 John 3:4 “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.” Sin is not something we are born with; it is something we do. When we break God’s law, we sin (Remember Gods Law is separate from Mans). The good news is that the gospel of Christ is the power of God to take away our sins.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Only God can truly judge you, Only the blood of Jesus will cover you in this evil time, Only the Holy Spirit can truly guide you unto righteousness! All three bolded (God, Jesus & Holy Spirit) IS ALL WE NEED TO FIGHT THE WILES OF THIS EVIL ENEMY SATAN.
I have personally done the moon walk and have backslidden in some areas and may have to do a bit more to get this lesson…
As I humble myself and walk through it all with the Lord by my side, GOD STILL has mercy & forgiveness on my soul even as some men stand in the distance like vipers or vultures awaiting demise. With GOD We can do all things through him who strengthens us, and without him, we truly have nothing.
